Terms & Conditions

These terms apply to cleaning services provided by Nicole Butcher trading as Spik & Span Cleaning ("I", "me"), Jim Mollison Ct, Mildenhall, Bury Saint Edmunds IP28 7QP. By booking a clean you agree to these terms.
1. Bookings & quotes
- Quotes are based on the information you provide about your property. If the property differs significantly (e.g. size or condition), the price or time required may change, but I will always tell you before starting.
- A booking is confirmed once we have agreed a date and time in writing (WhatsApp, text or email).
- The new-customer discount applies to your first clean only and cannot be combined with other offers.
2. Payment
- You can pay online by card (processed securely by Stripe) or in cash on the day of the clean.
- For one-off deep cleans, end of tenancy cleans and after-builders cleans, payment (or a deposit) may be requested in advance to secure the booking.
- Commercial clients are invoiced with payment due within 14 days unless agreed otherwise.
3. Cancellations & rescheduling
- You may cancel or reschedule free of charge with at least 48 hours' notice.
- Cancellations with less than 48 hours' notice may be charged 50% of the booked price, as the slot usually cannot be refilled.
- If I cannot access the property at the agreed time (no key, no answer), the visit may be charged in full.
- If I need to cancel (e.g. illness), I will give you as much notice as possible and offer the next available slot. Any advance payment will be refunded in full if we cannot rearrange.
4. Accidents & damage
- I hold public liability insurance covering accidental damage to your property and belongings caused during a clean.
- Any damage must be reported to me within 24 hours of the clean so it can be handled properly, through insurance where appropriate.
- Please tell me in advance about delicate, valuable or irreplaceable items so I can take extra care or avoid them.
- I cannot accept liability for damage caused by pre-existing faults (e.g. loose fittings, worn surfaces) or for items not disclosed as fragile.
5. Your home or premises
- Please secure pets that may be distressed by cleaning equipment, and let me know about anything I should be aware of for safety.
- I provide professional products and equipment. If you prefer specific products used, please provide them along with instructions.
6. Complaints
If you are not happy with any part of a clean, tell me within 24 hours and I will return to put it right free of charge where reasonable.
7. General
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
